The Solution: Natural Oak for a Natural Flow
After looking through a few samples, Ms. Chung settled on our Kingswood Brushed & UV Oiled Oak for her Wimbledon flooring. It’s easily our most popular choice in the SW19 area, mainly because the “Natural” finish is so versatile. It’s neutral enough to work with any interior design shifts in the future but has enough character to feel high-end.
To solve the noise issue, our lead fitter, Gary, recommended a 3mm Rubber Underlay with a Gold Vapour Barrier. This is our “gold standard” for sound dampening in Wimbledon flooring installations; it turns the sharp ‘click’ of a heel into a soft, muffled thud.
