The 8mm Excel Classic boards (0.7mm wear layer) are designed for residential and commercial settings, while the 6.5mm boards (0.55mm wear layer) offer a slightly lighter construction well suited to typical household use. Every board combines a Unilin locking system with waterproof construction, so the install method and moisture resistance are consistent across both options.
